About the LAMY safari KURUTOGA Mechanical Pencil
The LAMY safari KURUTOGA combines the iconic design of the LAMY safari with Uni's KURUTOGA writing system. It retains the safari's distinctive ergonomic grip and functional metal clip while incorporating a KURUTOGA engine designed to keep the lead rotating as you write.
The defining feature is the KURUTOGA engine, which rotates the lead slightly each time it contacts the paper. This helps counter uneven lead wear, maintaining a consistently fine and sharp writing point for cleaner, more uniform lines. The mechanism is based on the same KURUTOGA engine used in the KS model, with a structure designed to minimise movement at the pencil tip for a stable writing experience.
