About the Kaweco Lunar Sport Clutch Pencil – Shadow Purple
The Kaweco Lunar Sport Clutch Pencil – Shadow Purple introduces a rich, mysterious shade to the Lunar series. Reminiscent of delicate orchid blossoms, its dark purple body features an iridescent, colour-changing finish that shifts through different tones as the light moves across the barrel. A true play of light and shadow, it looks subtly different from every angle.
Built on Kaweco's 1935 Sport design heritage, the pencil is crafted from lightweight ABS plastic with the signature octagonal barrel that prevents rolling and provides a comfortable grip. It feels almost weightless in the hand, ideal for long drawing or writing sessions, yet remains as robust as the classic Sport models.
The drop-clutch mechanism works differently from a standard mechanical pencil: pressing the top button releases the internal clutch, allowing the thick 3.2 mm lead to extend freely before it is secured again. Supplied with a soft 5B graphite lead, it is well suited for bold lines, shading, sketching, and drafting.
Weighing just 12.5 g and measuring a pocket-friendly 10.7 cm, it arrives in a standard black Kaweco cardboard box. Personalise it with slide-on Kaweco Sport clips in gold, silver, bronze, or black, and protect it with a Sport pouch or tin for everyday carry.
