Since 1883, various systems have been developed for filling fountain pens. While ink cartridges are widely used today, pens were traditionally filled from ink bottles. Among lever pens and eyedroppers, the piston mechanism has remained one of the most reliable methods.

In 1937, the Kaweco Sport fountain pen was introduced as a piston filler under the name #612. Over the years, it has undergone numerous developments and iterations.

Featuring a piston inside, the pen draws ink directly from a glass into its integrated reservoir, eliminating the need for ink cartridges. A transparent window allows users to easily monitor ink levels.

After years of refinement, Kaweco is proud to unveil the perfected iconic Sport model as a piston filler. The Kaweco Sport Piston Filler combines innovative materials with a compact, clever mechanism. Its black matte anodized aluminum offers a high-quality tactile experience.
