The Kyoto range of inks was conceived through a collaboration between TAG, a Japanese Stationery store, and the Kyoto Kusakubi Laboratory which specialises in the manufacture of colour dyes. Kyoto inks are made in the Japanese city of Kyoto and the manufacturing process follows traditional dyeing techniques dating back to the Heian era between the years 794 and 1185. These stunning water-based inks are named after unique places in ancient Japan and behave and perform beautifully as writing inks.
The Kyoto Ink range covers two lines (Kyo-no-oto and Kyo-iro) made up of 20 traditional Japanese colours.
