V-ROAD Ultra-Thin Recycled Stainless Steel Stationery Set

In the world of precision tools, there is often a compromise between utility and portability. To have a capable tool, one usually accepts the burden of weight. To have portability, one usually accepts a lack of durability.

The V-ROAD Ultra-Thin Stationery Set challenges this convention.

Manufactured in Seki, Japan—a region with a centuries-old heritage of swordsmithing and precision cutlery—this set is a study in industrial miniaturization. It condenses three essential desktop tools into a unified silhouette that is just 1.5mm thin, the exact profile of a standard credit card.

Material & Craftsmanship

The set is crafted from Recycled High-Tensile Stainless Steel, chosen for its balance of rigidity and sustainability. The surface features a matte, brushed finish that resists fingerprints and provides a tactile, industrial grip. Unlike plastic alternatives that flex or snap, the V-ROAD offers the reassuring solidity of an all-metal construction while remaining virtually weightless in a pocket or planner.

The Three Essentials

The set is designed to disassemble into three distinct tools, each precision-engineered for specific tasks:

  • The Scissors: The centerpiece of the set. Despite their flat profile, the blades are hollow-ground in the Seki tradition, allowing them to deliver a crisp, shearing cut through paper, tags, and packaging without the bulk of handles.
  • The Ruler: A 10cm metric scale with deep-etched markings. The high-contrast engraving ensures legibility even in low light, making it ideal for quick measurements or drafting.
  • The Index Clip: A high-tension steel clip that serves dual purposes: securely holding the set together when not in use, and acting as a firm bookmark or money clip.
